We decided to take the old adage, “April Showers Bring May Flowers” and turn it in to a reason to have a party! Residents started the day by making umbrella door decorations, then were able to enjoy beautiful songs on the piano, such as “Singing in the Rain” and “Raindrops Keep Fallin on My Head,” performed by our resident’s grandson John O., and finally were able to savor sweet garden party parfaits and a glass of our specialty punch, “Fresh Rainwater,” in the pub. There were rainclouds, umbrellas hanging from the ceiling to protect us from the rain, and blooming flowers with a rainbow lingering in the distance. We had a lovely afternoon and are looking forward to more sunny, spring days!
